In addition to her concise writing style, Harry Potter is populated with interesting and relatable characters that the reader can and will fall in love with. Rowlings was one of the best books I had read in years. The story truly begins nearly ten years later, after Harry has endured a childhood of constant scorn and hatred at the hands of his new family.

This book is considered a fantasy because of its magical elements, but it draws all kinds of fans -- many who have never read fantasy books before. Harry Potter is awesome. The champions will then face three great challenges to battle for the coveted trophy.

This series has been commended for getting so many kids to love reading.

There is content that promotes good, moral, behavior. The story starts with Number 4 Privet Drive about a boy called Harry Potter who lives in the cupboard under the stairs of a house owned by Mr and Mrs Dursley with their overly spoiled son called Dudley.

The other houses are Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. At the same time, it is a light-reading book with less text, which adds to the ease of reading. The book is compelling enough, like its predecessors, to force you to not put it down.

This is a world phenomenon!! In the fist quarter of the book it shows how Harry begins to receive letters which are addressed to him, in his cupboard and at the top of the letter a crest show the letters S,G,R AND H embellished with a snake, a griffin, an eagle and a badger.

The bad guys are really bad with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. In the second book we begin to gain an insight into Voldermort, as Harry, without realising it, drifts into the memories of his nemesis through an enchanted diary.

In many places it seems a bit obvious and ham-fisted, Rowling seems to have opted for stereotypes rather than originality in these monsters and it makes it all a little contrived. But none of this really matters, because the Harry Potter series are a helluva lot of fun to read and have a blast-ended-skrewt-sized heart.

Harry is spending another dreadful summer with his muggle Aunt and Uncle Dursley. Wizards are a race apart from muggles, and they strive to keep themselves secret. Expect more of the same awesomeness. And most important, this book series makes reading fun!
